Today we will review the Present Continuous tense.

Present Continuous tense

Обозначает действие предмета, которое происходит в момент речи говорящего.

В этом времени употребляется слово now.

Это время образуется при помощи форм глагола to be в настоящем времени (am, is, are) и смыслового глагола с окончанием ing.

Example:

I am reading a book now.

You are reading a book now.

We are reading a book now.

They are reading a book now.

He is reading a book now.

She is reading a book now.

Чтобы задать вопрос мы должны перенести am, is, are на 1 место.

Example:

Are you reading a book now?

Чтобы сказать отрицательное предложение мы должны поставить после am, is, are отрицательную частицу not.

Example:

I am not reading a book now.

Past Indefinite tense

Обозначает действие предмета, которое произошло в прошлом в неопределённый момент.

Оно образуется при помощи 2 формы неправильного глагола или окончания ed.

Указатели времени в Past Simple:

Yesterday- Вчера

Last week- На прошлой неделе

Last month- В прошлом месяце

Last year- В прошлом году

… years ago…- … лет назад

 

Eg.: I went to school yesterday.

I visited my friend last week.

Ex. 2 p. 17 Read about Colin’s holiday paying attention to the verbs in Past Simple.

Ex. 3 p. 17 Put the sentences in the correct order.

Ex. 4 p. 17 Pick up the past tense forms of the following verbs from the text.
